Michael is an experienced Telecoms and IT Management professional. A determined leader and man manager with a reputation for successfully delivering results in the most complex and challenging environments both in the UK and Europe. A Prince2™ Registered Practitioner he has completed large multi-disciplined projects including £10m+ infrastructure projects for both public and private sectors, CMS and CRM projects, large scale transformation and outsourcing projects, business change projects, many mergers and acquisitions and application and hardware refresh projects across 100’s of sites.

He has experience of successfully managing global teams & suppliers including those in low cost centers, with experience of talent management and building high performance teams on, off and near-shore. He is able to draw from his experience of strategic planning, stakeholder management, project design planning and implementing, risk and issue management and full life cycle experience. In addition he has over 20 years IT Management experience encompassing sales management & business development and business operations.

Having worked with Athlone Group for a number of years on a consultancy basis, Michael impressed with his natural talent to create, motivate and inspire effective project teams with a “can do” work ethic. His extensive experience and positive attitude combined with a track record of effective delivery attracted Athlone Group to invite him to join their management team.
